The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) federal economic injury disaster loans are available to small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives and most private, non-profit organizations in Indiana who suffered financial losses from the drought that began January 1, 2008.
The following counties are eligible for disaster loans through the SBA: Adams, Allen, Blackford, Clark, Crawford, DeKalb, Delaware, Dubois, Elkhart, Floyd, Fulton, Grant, Harrison, Huntington, Jackson, Jay, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Lawrence, Miami, Noble, Orange, Perry, Randolph, Scott, Spencer, Steuben, Wabash, Warrick, Washington, Wells and Whitley.
Eligible small businesses and non-profit organizations may qualify for loans of up to $2 million. SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan program loans are available at a 4 percent interest rate with a term of up to 30 years. Eligibility is based on the size of the applicant, type of activity and its financial resources.
